My
human was calling me Miss Chargey Pants during our last riding lesson.
Silly human, she didn't understand that I was practicing for the
Kentucky Derby. Yeah, when I was a just a filly up in Waterloo, I had a
dream of someday winning the Run for the Roses. But I never made it to
Churchill Downs, so now I imagine that I'm in the gate and then, BAM –— And the crowd goes wild! |

April 24, 2008 There is injustice and unfairness all around me. First, Story, Bravo, Lexi, and a few other horses left the farm. Yep, they left me behind and went off to who knows where. While they were off having fun, I had to share the dry lot with Mistie. She's much younger than I am, so we don't have that much in common. And she's kind of arrogant. But being the sweet, adaptable horse that I am, I was dealing. Even had a mani/pedi with my farrier, Mike. Then the worst thing happened – all the horses came back home, but Story and Lexi got to go out in the far pasture instead of back in the dry lot. Where I still was. In the dry lot. With Mistie. I did my best to communicate with the humans that this wasn't fair and that I'd like out in the pasture, too. You would have thought I was speaking Greek instead of horse, though, because they sure didn't seem to undertand me. So I started yelling at the mares, but Story and Lexi were running around like silly fillies and they ignored me, too. Then they started eating actual grass. Without me. I was still in the dry lot. With Mistie. Finally the humans brought everybody back to their stalls for dinner and I didn't speak to Story all that night. Thank goodness that Story and Lexi got put out in the dry lot the next day. With me. And not Mistie. |

Guess
what - it's a very special day today! What day is it, you ask? Well,
it's Marshall's 90th birthday!!! Yes, it is. All of us horses are so
happy that he's hit this special milestone birthday. We love Marshall
because if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have this great farm to live
on. He's the one who saw the potential and bought it and made it his
own so many years ago. |

April 17, 2008 Wow, I just watched the most amazing video! The mare that's in it was really cooperating with her human. What an interesting concept – I might have to give it a try sometime. Anyway, the mare is so pretty. And the human's kinda cute, too. He sure knows how to communicate with his horse. Check it out: Clinton and Mindy |

I
found a way to get my human really upset. All I have to do is act like
I'm going to attack another horse during drill-team practice and she
goes crazy. It's great! I know that I'm not supposed to exhibit herd behavior when she's on my back, but it's just so much fun to push her buttons. |

I thought I was getting so good with all my drill team work and how I'm pivoting and almost spinning. Then I saw this.
How can he do that? He doesn't even have hoofs. You know, if my human
was more talented, I bet we could do something like that. |

April 1, 2008 You know, I'm feeling all warm and happy. Good will to geldings and all that jazz. Guess I'm just a kinder, gentler mare. I love everybody – even Ebby. April Fool's!!!! Snicker, nicker, nicker! |
